The Division Number 5 police have registered a case against the management of New Higher Secondary School in Sarabha Nagar for "cheating" and unlawfully conducting commercial activities on land allocated by the Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) for the school. The deputy commissioner’s office, citing a complaint, referred to a ₹2,400-crore fraud linked to these commercial activities and forwarded the matter to LIT, which has now led to the police case being filed.
